Junior Class – Beginners Age 5-14
This class is a safe and fun class aimed at those new to the sport. The class
teaches the juniors the basics of the sport such as how to stand, the different
types of punches and kicks, how to use all the equipment, how to warm up
and cool down. The children stay in this class until they have achieved their
White Grading, then they can move up to the next class.
In this class the children will also learn what is expected of them in terms
of fitness and discipline, the class encourages self confidence and allows
for the Junior members to enjoy the benefits of basic self defence. It's
fun!
A typical class will involve
• Skipping or jogging warm-up
• Warming up exercises
• Pad work in pairs
• Bag work
• Technique work
• Light controlled sparring
• Cool down and stretching exercises
The safety of the junior members is our priority which is why all protective
equipment
is supplied.
Junior Class - Intermediate/Advanced Age 5-14
Juniors progress to this class once they have achieved their white grading and understand the basics. In this class there is a range of abilities and the juniors are taught a lot more technique work. The children can work their way through the grading syllabus.
